Besides the sport and great competition, the Southern Skies Challenge is also about having fun, meeting new friends, and exploring Brisbane. We have arranged a number of planned events for both players and team management / supporters, so everyone can meet and enjoy everything the Challenge has to offer.

Managers & Athletes Welcome Meeting

On the Sunday night of your arrival, a brief meeting and welcome is arranged. This is a great opportunity to meet the Director of Cricket and event staff. They will provide an overview of the week ahead and pass on any additional information required.

Players Movie Night

Whilst Coaches, Managers and Supporters relax and enjoy the Official Dinner, players will relax with a new release movie at the local cinema complex. Leave some room for popcorn! The Movie Night is extremely well supervised, so team management don't have to worry about a thing.

Challenge Dinner

While the athletes are enjoying the Movie Night, Southern Skies hosts the official Challenge Dinner for all coaches, managers and supporters. A great chance to enjoy a relaxing evening with new and old friends.

 

Bowling and LaserForce Nights

On the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings after dinner, teams will be able to enjoy some additional planned activities. On alternate evenings your team will be able to test their combat skills at Laserforce, and enjoy a night of ten pin bowling.

Awards Ceremony

After the last winning runs have been scored, it’s time for the Challenge Awards Ceremony. Come find out who was victorious and those who made it into the All Stars team. Relive great sporting moments from the Challenge week as Southern Skies bids you a fond farewell.

Free Time

Brisbane … beautiful one day … perfect the next. When you are not engaged in sporting activities, consider a CityCat journey along the beautiful Brisbane River, visit the Southbank Parklands, the Kangaroo Point cliffs, or shop till you drop in the city. Before you leave home we will provide you with a range of exciting suggestions for exploring and enjoying Brisbane in the summertime.

Optional Theme Park Day

Remember, if you wish to visit Dreamworld or Wet'n Wild on the Saturday after the Challenge, Travel Southern Skies can organise everything for you - discount tickets, transport, and additional accommodation if required.
