If you want to test your rugby skills against a wide variety of teams from around the world, then Southern Skies is for you. The competition is played with spirit and in the best traditions of fair play and sportsmanship. You’ll make friends here for the rest of your life.
Divisions
Boys – Under 18
(players may turn 17 or 18 between 1 September 2009
and 31 December 2010)
Tournament Structure
There will be a number of competition pools within each age division. Teams play round robin matches and are then reranked according to accumulated points. Semi finals and finals are played against teams of similar strength in a tiered structure. Each tier has significant take home trophies for winning teams. Depending on the number of teams in each competition, the draw will allow for approximately 7 matches for all participating teams (generally 40-70 minute games), regardless of strength/skill level.

Rules and Team Information
Teams play under slightly modified international rules of the game. The updated competition rules and the Under 19 Rule Variations will be uploaded by February 2010.
Permission to Play in Australia
All overseas teams playing in Southern Skies, must seek permission to play from their local governing sports body. Please download the Permission to Play Rugby information on how to apply.
