Touch Football

The sport of Touch Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the world today, espcially within Australia and New Zealand. It seemed only natural for Southern Skies to expand the Tournament offerings to include this exciting and dynamic sport.

Divisions

Mixed Teams Under 18

(ages as at 1st January 2010)

Tournament Structure

Teams play round robin matches progressing through to finals. Due to the international nature of the event, there is no pre-ranking of teams. Where possible teams will be split into tiered divisions to play semis and finals against teams of similar strength. The tiered structure for semi-finals and finals means it's anyone's competition right up until the last day.

On each of the four competition days, teams will play two games of 40 minutes each (2 x 20 minute halves). There is no knock-out and all participating teams play the same number of matches (approximately 8 throughout the week). We aim to provide teams the opportunity to play against as wide a variety of opposition as possible.
