This is where it all happens in the lead-up and during Tournament week.
The competition draws are completed approximately three weeks prior to the event. To avoid confusion we need to wait until all teams have confirmed. We will email the completed draws to each team manager and will upload onto the website for everyone to check out who they're playing.
Results for all games are posted up on the results page each evening, so friends and family back home can see how their teams are faring against the competition. For those checking back regularly, please ensure you press the refresh button on your web browser to get the most up-to-date information.
Each sport has a "best and fairest" All Stars team announced at the Awards Ceremonies. Through a peer nomination system, teams recommend both players from their own team as well as from their opposition for each game from Monday - Thursday of the Tournament week. Players consistently nominated throughout the week for their sportsmanship, skill and participatory spirit are rewarded with a place in the team and a commemorative shirt.
There will be a variety of commemorative merchandise available for sale at the playing venues. Orders for the personalised commemorative jersey need to be placed by mid May 2010. These are very popular, so don’t miss out ... please see your team manager for further information.
Attending teams and/or players are welcome to download our Certificate of Participation as a keepsake of their experience here at the Southern Skies Tournament. The attached certificate is for those who attended in 2009.
